Greenwood sophomore Han Seo put himself in a position to win the Class 1 singles title at the Missouri State High School Activities Association tennis championships on Friday at Cooper Tennis Complex.

Benton senior Ridge Stagner — a state runner-up in 2025 — leaned on his big-match experience against the talented underclassman.
Stagner defeated Seo 6-3, 6-1 in the title round to reach a medalist podium loaded with Springfield talent, including third-place William Hein (Springfield Catholic) and sixth-place Mitchell Murray (Logan-Rogersville).

Archer Anbari and David Holden also brought home medals for Greenwood, teaming up to place fourth in Class 1 doubles.
Joseph Coder, a standout at Springfield Catholic his first two seasons before transferring to Kickapoo last season, ended his career with a state medal. Coder placed sixth in the big-school tournament (Class 3) to lead lead Springfield-area qualifiers.

Class 2

The Class 2 portion of the MSHSAA state tennis tournament concludes Saturday, featuring Springfield-area representation from Central and Willard.
